Hon Llew O'Brien, Member of the House of Representatives has introduced the Human Rights (Children Born Alive Protection) Bill 2026.

Explanatory Memorandum

The Bill seeks to ensure babies born alive after a termination of pregnancy procedure receive appropriate care, whether that be palliative or active treatment, depending on the clinically appropriate circumstances.
