Dr Debbie Garratt has worked as a counsellor, educator, researcher and author over more than 30 years, holding degrees in adult education and health.

Her PhD examined professional discourse and practice surrounding abortion, which formed the basis of her grounded theory of Alarmist Gatekeeping.

Debbie founded and operated Real Choice Australia for 16 years, establishing the organisation to provide research and public education on abortion coercion and the adverse mental health impact of abortion on women.

We look forward to hearing about her clinical experience, academic research and many years of education and advocacy concerning women, pregnancy and abortion.
