Ms Naomi Bunker

Over the past 18 months, my involvement with Pro-Life Health Professionals Australia (PHPA) as an Executive member and leader of the Advocacy portfolio has been both rewarding and eye-opening. I was initially drawn to PHPA through a growing awareness of abortion legislation across Australia and a strong conviction that health professionals have an important role in advocating for life-affirming care.

Through this work, I have connected with many like-minded professionals and seen the significant impact PHPA has in supporting those who often feel isolated in their views. It has been encouraging to witness growing confidence among health professionals to stand firm in their position, as well as increasing engagement in public discourse.

My contributions have included hosting monthly webinars, contributing to social media, and assisting in the development of clinical guidelines. Highlights include attending the AAPLOG Annual Conference in Florida alongside Dr Mel Lai and supporting the delivery of two Life Summits—experiences that have strengthened both my understanding and commitment.

This work has given me greater confidence to speak openly and has reinforced my belief in the importance of protecting the most vulnerable through our professional practice.
